Combo Halibut Fishing and Salmon Fishing in Homer Alaska

MEMORY MAKER CHARTERSis pleased to offer a full day of combination fishing of halibut and salmon, and other species at your request. Remember, this is YOUR CHARTER, and if you get tired of fishing for one species and want to spend more time for another it is your decision, we are flexible, as we are proficient in catching all species.

Angler's must have a fishing license and king salmon stamp. (Angler's under 16 do not need a fishing license, but must have a "harvest card" to document their king salmon catch).  We will have harvest cards on the MEMORY MAKER.  We recommend that you bring cameras, warm clothing, hats, gloves, rubber boots if desired, or personal items needed for a long day on the water. 

May and June are excellent months for combo fishing due to the abundance of king salmon in the area.  A great time of year for this type of charter is when the silvers are running, late July through September, as they provide an extra bit of excitement.  Kings are powerful fighters, while silvers are very acrobatic!  May through August are the best months for halibut, however they are caught year around in this area, when the season is open.  The "winning fish" of the Homer Halibut Jackpot Derby is usually caught in the month of July.

Ling Cod can be targeted in a combo charter, only after the first of July and must be 35 inches in length or longer to be legal.  These fish are excellent eating.  To target large Ling Cod, we need to run further. We call it the Grand Slam. The three species of fish targeted are halibut, ling cod and rockfish. This is a full boat charter only. Since we run further our price for this trip is $1500 plus tax.
